I am separated from my same-sex partner of 18.5 years (couldn’t get married for legal reasons). We have two 10 year old girls and we split custody fairly amicably.
For the last year I have been in a relationship with a family friend the whole family has known for about 3.5 years. A long time ago I had a good friend. We’ll call him “Chris”. He’s a great guy and always was. We were really close and there was always something more there but, well I guess we were both afraid of ruining a good friendship and never acted on it. And it was probably the smart thing to do because we were pretty young then. But we’re both 37 now and have married and divorced. I thought about him a lot over the years, even while I was married. I’ve fallen in love with my best friend. We met through my brother about two years ago, and started to work together about a year ago. We’d been hanging out ever since we met but it became more frequent after we started working together. He would ask me to his house to hang out.
A close male friend of mine who i think is the most gorgeous man in the world (have harboured a secret admiration/crush on him for quite a few years, although we were both in long term relationships and maintained a good freindship) has told me that he is interested.
I have had a best friend for 10 years. We are both divorced. She is straight and I am not. (both female) She has dated a few men over the years. I have not dated much. We talk on the phone everyday and hang out together on the weekends. I think I have deeper feelings for her than she has for me. I don’t know if she represses her feelings.
I’ve shared a special friendship with a man for 5 years now. We see life through the same eyes, and complete each other’s thoughts. We were both hurt in the past and terrified of commitment, but yet it seems special.
