Jesse, relationships can hit a “plateau” that forces a move either out of the relationship altogether or into a more serious commitment. It’s possible that after 4 years she is ready for commitment but you’re not and she’s thinking about her options, or maybe you’ve talking about commitment and she’s trying to decide if she’s ready for that next step. Either way, if there’s a strong enough love between the two of you your relationship will continue on to the next level.
What do you want? Do you want her to marry you? Are you ready for commitment? If so, tell her. And don’t just say it, make it happen.
If she is taking time to think about the relationship there’s nothing you can do to speed up the process. The best thing is for you to also take some time out. Don’t wait for her. Let her see that she just might lose you if she takes too long deciding what’s important. That’s what I think. — Queenie
