Mattie, it doesn’t matter what kind of relationship you want with him if he isn’t ready for the same type of relationship with you. Pushing isn’t going to do anything but make him run the other way. Maybe he just isn’t as interested in you as you are in him. Maybe it’ll take more time, and maybe not. Perhaps he’ll never be interested in “that” way.
What I’ve found that will shake up a potential lover fairly quickly is to become independent, busy, and occasionally unavailable. He needs to know you’re not waiting by the phone for his call, that you have other guys who are interested in you. Sometimes it’s competition that makes the heart grow fonder. — Queenie
