I am in my twenties and have dated many guys. At first I always seem to be interested and have fun with them, but after a couple of months I become bored. I don’t know if it is me or just the guys I date.
I always seem confused and convince myself that I want something new. So I usually just blow things off when I become bored. I am always looking for Mr. Right, but I think I may be looking for “Mr. Perfect” rather than Mr. Right (I know that know one is perfect). Can you please help me understand myself better by giving me advice. — Dawn

Dawn, I can’t help you understand you better. If you’re really concerned, you need to find a counselor. Otherwise, it just may be that you haven’t found the right guy — not the perfect guy just the right guy for you.
Why don’t you make a list of the guys you’ve been dating then make a list of their strongest characteristics and their strongest faults. Is there a pattern? Are you looking for love in all the wrong places?
Some women don’t find the guy who’s right for them until their in their 30s or 40s. You might be on the same type of path. But, again, if it’s causing you real concern, consider seeing a counselor. — Queenie
