My boyfriend refuses to tell me that he loves me. He hasnt said it in almost 2 years and it really bothers me. I know he loves me but he just wont say it. He used to but after a few fights early in the relationship, he told me he does not love me.
He confuses me because he treats me as if he does and we do all the things couples do. He makes plans for our future and buys me things. I dont understand. He is unapproachable about the subject and does not want to hear talk of it. What should I do? — Kiki

Kiki, I’ve always felt actions speak much louder than words. If his actions say he loves you that’s worth far more than him telling you “I love you” and then treating you badly.
Of course if he has said he doesn’t love you more than once and recently then I’d have second thoughts about the stability of the entire relationship. — Queenie
