This girl I was dating for 8 months just broke up with me after a wonderful weekend getaway we just had. We didn’t fight, and in fact never had any problems except she would occasionally remind me that she just didn’t know what she wanted.
I made it clear there was no pressure for her to make a decision and we’d see each other when we could- but she always called, always wanted to see me. Then the day after we get back from the getaway, she tells me she’s not ready for a relationship. I don’t understand why this was even an issue for her and why she decided we can’t “go on like this.” — Jeff

Jeff, given the length of time the two of you were together she may have felt some pressure for a relationship despite what you said. Give her time and space and if the two of you are “meant to be” she’ll be back. (But don’t sit by the phone waiting for her call. That’s not an attractive quality.) — Queenie
