Mark, I’m not the right person to be asking this question. You should ask your wife and if she’s not sure if she’s physically ready then she can ask her doctor.
It’s possible that your wife may not be feeling sexually attractive so soon after giving birth or she may be so exhausted from caring for the new baby that she isn’t having any sexual thoughts.
This is when lots of tender foreplay might get her in the mood. That means helping her around the house so she isn’t quite so tired, being romantic without demanding sex, and being very patient. When was the last time you just cuddled and kissed for hours without expecting sex?
