I am 31. I got out of a 4 1/2 year relationship and then I met a really great woman. We really hit it off and things went fast. I was only 6 months out of my previous relationship and already I was wrapped up in another one.
After about 8 months, I started getting scared and I backed off, big time. She continued to chase me and want me. We maintained contact, talking almost everyday and seeing each other at least twice a week, yet I kept my distance. I would see her when I wanted. She was totally in love with me and I was just not sure I wanted to get into that type of deal again.
Well about 6 weeks ago, I was doing some thinking and I decided I would take a chance and try to make it work. Now she knows I want to be with her, yet she wants space away and is not sure what she wants. She has admitted to dating other people.
Now I am miserable without her adn I know she is the one for me. Am I too late? Do you think she will come around? What should I do? — Phil

Phil, some people are most excited by the chase but get bored when it’s over. Time for you to back off, start dating others, and let this lady see that you’re not so hung up on her. Once the chase is back on, she’ll probably come after you again. — Queenie
