I’m eight months pregnant and on bed rest due to signs of preterm labor. I can’t work or venture to the grocery store. My boyfriend told me that he can’t stand me and I have pretty solid proof that he’s been sleeping with someone else. We don’t live together, but I’m thinking of moving to get away from the whole situation. I like my doctor here, and when I’m back from maternity related leave I have a job that I like as well.
It seems foolish to move just to get away from a bad relationship, but I feel trapped and horribly depressed. I don’t have my parents or any close friends as I’ve only been living here a year. The only person I have is my elderly grandmother whom I moved here to take care of.
I’m overwhelmed and crushed by the verbal and emotional abuse. Should I move back to my hometown to be closer to my mother and friends, or stick it out here and hope it gets better?

No one can make that decision for you. You have to weigh the pros and cons of staying or moving and then do what seems best for you and your child.
Regardless of how your boyfriend feels about you, he is going to be financially liable for this child, correct?
If your boyfriend is treating you so shabbily now when you need his support the most, what would give you even the slightest hope that things would get better later? Abusive tendencies don’t go away, they usually get much worse. Why expose your child to this?
Where would you find the most comfort, where you’re living now or closer to your mother and friends? Answer that and you’ll know what to do. Good luck. — Queenie
