I have been dating my boss who is much older than me for about 3 years now, on and off. He use to be a very big player however when we got together he stopped and was totally in love with me. We built a I guess you could say disfunctional family with our kids.
The business isn’t doing very well right now, and there has been alot of stress. We haven’t been spending alot of time together lately. We had a silly fight the other day and did not speak over the weekend. Today is monday and in the office at work he told me he loved me but he does not want to see me outside of work anymore.
I know he still cares, at least I hope he does. Should I move on and if I do, do you think I can continue to work for him. (it is a small office) Or should I quit and change the profession I love. Or should I try and win him back? — Becky

Becky, only you know if you can work for the guy you’ve been in love with for these past three years. Particularly will you be able to handle it when he starts dating someone else? And how will he react when you begin dating?
This type of relationship has a lot of built-in problems and I know I wouldn’t be able to continue working for someone who had dumped me.
I’m not sure why you have to quit this profession if you stop working in this office. Aren’t there similar jobs available?
If it were me I’d have to look for work elsewhere. Then, if he decided he just couldn’t live without me we wouldn’t have to combine work and our outside life. Just my thoughts. — Queenie
