I had a boyfriend of 6 years who recently broke up with me, said he needed time. He has a friend who is a girl that they both feel that they have feelings for each other because they spend so much time together.

If you could settle for being just friends then I’d say your odds would be very good at having him as a casual friend, unless his new girlfriend was uncomfortable with him remaining friends with a former girlfriend. However, the route of least pain is to let him go and start dating others. — Queenie
