I was dating this girl off and on some time back, but she eventually went back to her old boyfriend. Now we have started talking again, and her and her boyfriend have been fighting allot lately. To the point where she comes to me crying, but at the same time saying that she loves him and she wishes she didn’t.
I really like this girl, and i just don’t know what to do. I want to tell her that i do, but i don’t want to complicate her current situation either. What should i do? I hate seeing here like this, it tears me up. Help! – Rick

Rick, she knows you like her because she’s crying on your shoulder about the problems she’s having with her boyfriend. She probably cried on his shoulder about the problems you and she were having just before she went back to him. She keeps one boyfriend in reserve (you, this time) while she works the other one (him, this time).
Okay, maybe I’m being a little hard on her but she was with him, then she was with you, and now she’s back with him but whining to you about him. Don’t you see this isn’t the way someone who loves someone should act? So what if you tell her how you feel? Do you really think she’ll come back to you and not go back to him if the two of you have a disagreement?
If you enjoy having your heart treated like a ping-pong ball, keep on playing on her terms. Otherwise, tell her she needs to work it out with him without your help and then get busy and find yourself some girlfriends who won’t serve you sloppy seconds.
