‘The Dating Game’
The Reality of “Being Friends”
Hi Doctor, I am getting to know a Christian girl. We have been going out for almost two months and I told her that I like her. In the beginning she told me that she was not interested in a relationship right now but was ok with being friends and she continues to go out with me. She answers my calls most of the time but when she doesn’t I become anxious and I start thinking too much. Please how can I deal with it?
Air-Sick Bag, Please!
Doc: I met a young lady on a matrimonial website and we hit it off very well. She had a prior relationship 3 years ago that she ended and admits to feeling guilty about as she sorta “strung the guy along” and did not verbalize her concerns regarding their relationship that she felt wasn’t everything she wanted.
After The Fight
Hello! I’ve been dating my girlfriend for about 2 years. We had a big fight a couple of weeks ago, and after that she doesn’t say “I love you” to me as much as she did before. We are acting the same as before the fight to each other but I just want her to say I love you to me as much as she did before. She says it when we hang out and stuff, but not when we are on the phone.
Which is Best – Same or Different?
Hey Doc: I have a question which might sound a bit unusual but; do relationships work best between people who are different or people who are similar?
Game-Playing Girlfriend
Hi Dr. Neder, I read some of your articles and your advice is great. I just recently hooked up with a girl that actually picked me up at club. She really liked me a lot and for the first few weeks, I played hard to get with her. She wanted to get me settled down and kind of coerced me into a relationship. Obviously, being someone that doesn’t like relationships I refused, but she tried and tried again, I finally submitted and became her boyfriend.
You Better Know How to Handle “The Test”!
Hey Doc! I met this girl a couple of months ago and we started to hang out. At first she said she only wanted to be friends when I made a move so I just blew it off but she continued to call me all the time wanting to see me.
Meeting Someone Special
You’ve met many people in your life. How many of them have been your ideal mate? Probably very few. You may have dated someone very attractive, only to find that they don’t seem so wonderful after you get to know them. If you’re going to find Mr. or Ms. Right, you’re probably going to have to go through a number of people – possibly a large number!
How to Attract Women
How do I attract a woman for a relationship? During high school I tried to ask out 5 different girls over 5 years. I thought I was in love with each of them and told them this, but was turned down each time with a corresponding blow to my self-confidence. I finally just gave up on finding a girl. For quite some time I didn’t talk to any new girls at all – only friends of mine.
The Girl at Work
Dear Dr. Neder: I have liked a woman at my work for sometime now. We were out with others from work one evening and I admitted to her how I felt after getting a little drunk. She was perfectly sober since she was the designated driver. At the same time, she told me that she was also attracted to me, but that she didn’t want a boyfriend at that moment. We wound up making out and dancing all evening.
Learn to Kiss, Damn it!
Dear Dr Neder, I have been reading your article on kissing. My question is about kissing someone you’ve just met. As a woman, I find that most guys love to shove the tongue in immediately rather than starting off a kiss slowly. Is it ok to tell them not to use the tongue or will they take that as an insult to their kissing ability and an indicator that you don’t want to kiss them anymore?
Cowboy Gets a Hoof To The Head
Last Saturday night I decided to go to a country bar. As I walked to the back of the building, a really attractive woman grabed my arm and sayed with a pretty smile “Would you please save me at least one dance?” After a while the band was playing a slow song and I immediately asked her to dance. While dancing she told me that she had a preminition from God to come to the dance hall and the reason He gave her that preminition was He wanted her and I to meet.
Have Confidence – Fake it Until You Make It!
Hey, it’s me again. There is one thing I kind of struggle with, and that is confidence.
10 Ways to Know When Your Relationship Is ‘Right’
I spend much of my time pointing out where things went wrong with this person’s approach, or that person’s relationship, etc. I thought it might be time to look at what makes a relationship “right”. That is, how do you know you’re in a relationship that can last? Here’s my top 10:
Pass On Those Leads!
Have you ever met someone that you might have been interested in but changed your mind after a while? Perhaps he or she wasn’t your “type”, or he or she didn’t really click with you or whatever. Or, perhaps you have a friend that you think might work well for someone else. Or, let’s say that you met someone and actually went out with him or her once – maybe through a personal ad, or by being set-up by a friend, but you found that they weren’t what you were looking for.
How To Start When You Have No Map
Dear Dr. Neder — I’m a straight male in my early 30′s. I have never had a girlfriend or even a date in my entire life! I could go on for hours why — a mixture of lifestyle, schooling and the fact I am not a male model has all contributed to this.
